Day 1: Flash Bangs and One-Man CQB (Deliberate vs. Intentional)

Objective: Master flash bang deployment and one-man CQB, emphasizing deliberate (slow, pieing-heavy, stealth) vs. intentional (dynamic, J-hook/buttonhook, speed) clearing, with a brief hand-to-hand intro.

Location: Shoot house, minimal classroom.

Duration: 8 hours (0800–1600).

  0800–0820: Classroom – CQB Principles

Principles: Speed, surprise, violence of action (SF/SEAL/Ranger).

Terms: Pieing (slicing angles for deliberate clears), J-hooking (curved entry), buttonhooks (sharp pivot entry), running the rabbit (baiting threats), strong wall (wall cover), fatal funnel (doorways).

Clearing methods: Deliberate (slow, stealth, max control) vs. intentional (dynamic, speed, aggression).

Safety: Live-fire, simunition, flash bangs. Gear check.

  0820–0900: Flash Bang Drills

Overview (5 min): Effects, safety, toss angles for deliberate (stealth placement) vs. intentional (rapid toss).

Practical: Underhand/overhand throws, banking off walls, doorframe placement (simunition).

Drill: Flash bang toss while pieing (deliberate) vs. J-hooking (intentional).

Feedback: Toss precision, timing, muzzle discipline.

  0900–1130: One-Man CQB Drills

Overview (10 min): One-man scenarios (hostage rescue, lone operator), deliberate (pieing fatal funnels, stealth) vs. intentional (J-hook/buttonhook, speed).

  Practical:

Dry runs: Deliberate pieing corners (slow, max angles), intentional J-hooking/buttonhook entries, running the rabbit to bait threats.

Simunition: Single-room clears with flash bangs, alternating deliberate (strong wall, slow pie) vs. intentional (rapid J-hook entry).

Scenario: Low-light deliberate clear (pieing, flash bang) vs. intentional hostage rescue (J-hook, flash bang).

AAR: Footwork, angle control, clearing method choice.

  1130–1230: Lunch Break

  1230–1245: Hand-to-Hand Intro

Overview: Stance, punches, weapon retention (SF/SEAL focus).

Practical: Partnered drill on basic strikes and retention against grabs.

  1245–1600: One-Man CQB Scenarios

Practical: Simunition multi-room clears with flash bangs.

  Scenarios:

Deliberate: Stealth multi-room clear, pieing corners, strong wall, minimal exposure.

Intentional: Dynamic multi-room clear, J-hooking/buttonhooks, running the rabbit.

AAR: Speed vs. control, threat ID, clearing method effectiveness.

Day 2: Two-Man and Fire Team CQB (Deliberate vs. Intentional)

Objective: Master two-man and fire team CQB, emphasizing deliberate vs. intentional clearing, with a brief knife fighting intro and capstone scenario.

Location: Shoot house.

Duration: 8 hours (0800–1600).

  0800–1000: Two-Man CQB Drills

Overview (10 min): Two-man roles (point, second), comms (verbal, hand signals), deliberate (slow, pieing-heavy, coordinated) vs. intentional (dynamic, crossover/J-hook, speed-driven) clearing.

  Practical:

Dry runs: Deliberate pieing as a pair (point pies, second covers), intentional crossover entries (point J-hooks, second buttons). Running the rabbit (point baits, second engages).

Simunition: Two-room clears with flash bangs, using strong wall for deliberate clears, crossovers for intentional.

Scenario: Two-man hostage rescue—deliberate (stealth, pieing fatal funnels) vs. intentional (dynamic J-hook, flash bang).

AAR: Sync, comms, angle coverage, clearing method choice.

  1000–1200: Fire Team CQB Drills

Overview (10 min): 4-man team roles (point, second, third, rear), stack flow, deliberate (tight stack, slow pieing) vs. intentional (fast stack, J-hook/buttonhook entries).

  Practical:

Dry runs: Stack movement, deliberate pieing as a team (point pies, others cover sectors), intentional J-hooking entries, running the rabbit (point draws fire, team engages).

Simunition: Multi-room clears with flash bangs, using strong wall for deliberate, crossovers for intentional.

Scenario: Fire team clears structure with multiple threats (deliberate: stealth approach; intentional: dynamic breach).

AAR: Team flow, sector control, comms, clearing method effectiveness.

  1200–1300: Lunch Break

  1300–1315: Knife Fighting Intro

Overview: Grip, basic slashes (SF context).

Practical: Partnered drill on slashes with training knives.

1315–1600: Capstone Fire Team CQB Scenario

Scenario: Fire team clears multi-room structure with flash bangs, alternating deliberate (stealth, pieing, strong wall) and intentional (dynamic, J-hooking, crossovers) methods (simunition).

Variations: Multiple threats, low light, simulated stress (noise, timers).

AAR: CQB flow, flash bang integration, deliberate vs. intentional trade-offs, team cohesion.

  Wrap-up: Lessons learned, Q&A, certifications.
